Dozens of citizens protested in front of the Government headquarters in Montenegro to oppose the announced agreement with the Serbian Orthodox Church.
The agreement is expected to be announced this Thursday by Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic.
The protesters were holding banners such as "Serbia is devouring Montenegro, it will be a continuous war", "Abazovic, you took our churches by law and now with the agreement you want to take our existence and soul".
Citizens waved Montenegrin national flags, as well as EU and NATO flags.
President Milo Djukanovic rejected the possibility of a close agreement between the government and the Serbian Orthodox Church, trying to somewhat reduce the tensions that have engulfed the Balkan state./euronews
