Kurti: We are establishing the rule of law and public order

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, was asked by journalists on Friday about the statement of the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, who said that the European partners are concerned with the "unilateral moves of Kosovo".

Kurti said that his Government is establishing the rule of law and public order, as well as ensuring peace and security for all citizens of Kosovo - without distinction.

"In this aspect, we want close cooperation and international support, including France, which we consider a very important friend, ally and partner in the European Union and NATO," said Kurti.

A day earlier, during a visit to Serbia, Macron said that the "one-sided" and "disturbing" movements of Kosovo do not give a good signal.

With this statement, Macron apparently referred to several decisions of the Government of Kosovo - including the one to close some branches of the Post of Serbia in the north of the country - and its intentions to open the main bridge over the Iber River in Mitrovica, which are criticized by the rest of the international community.

He also said that France is committed to establishing the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority in Kosovo.

For this association, Kosovo and Serbia have agreed as early as 2013, but the agreement has never been implemented.

During Macron's stay in Serbia, this country signed an agreement with the French company, Dassault Aviation, for the purchase of 12 new Rafale fighter jets./ Rel
