An unprecedented heat wave has engulfed over 3,000 cities in Brazil. Temperatures in Rio De Janeiro reached 42.5 degrees Celsius, a record for the month of November, while humidity reached 58.5 degrees Celsius.

The National Institute of Meteorology of Brazil has attributed this climate change to the El Nino phenomenon, which a few months ago affected a good part of the globe, with an unusual heat wave.

More than a hundred million people have been affected by this heat wave, while this phenomenon is expected to last at least until Friday.

In the city of Sao Paulo , the average temperature reached 37.3C on Tuesday afternoon, according to a BBC article./ CNA
