Israel, 100 Hezbollah rocket launchers have been hit in Lebanon

An Israeli fighter jet takes off to carry out strikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon

Israel has carried out extensive airstrikes in southern Lebanon, saying its warplanes have hit more than 100 Hezbollah rocket launchers and "other terrorist locations", including a weapons storage facility.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said the rockets were ready to be fired at Israel. It is not known if there were any casualties.

Lebanon's state-run News Agency said Israel carried out at least 52 strikes in the south of the country on Thursday evening and that Lebanon had also launched attacks on military facilities in northern Israel.

Earlier, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said the deadly blasts earlier in the week "crossed all red lines," accusing Israel of what he said represented a declaration of war./ CNA
