In a short interview given to "CNN International", President Vjosa Osmani spoke about Kosovo's aspirations to apply for the status of a candidate for membership in the European Union.

She said that Kosovo has never looked to find another path, except the Euro-Atlantic one.
Osmani has also spoken about the views that Serbia is walking on the road to the European Union, saying that he does not believe in such a thing.

"Serbia tries to follow both Moscow's path and Europe's path. You cannot walk on both roads at the same time".

Regarding the request for Kosovo to become a member of NATO, President Osmani said that after Russia's military attack on Ukraine, "everyone" understood that being in NATO means being safe.

"Being in NATO means being safe. So, practically, the main reason why the people of Kosovo and our vision as the head of the institutions of Kosovo is to become a member of NATO, is because of security and defense. But also that we do not see NATO only as a military machine, but as a basic system of values", said Osmani./ CNA.al
