Iran attack/Trump: Weak response

US President Donald Trump has reacted to Iran's attacks on US bases in Qatar and Iraq.

Through a post on "Truth", he considered it a very weak response.

"Iran has officially responded to our destruction of their nuclear facilities with a very weak response, which we expected, and we have countered very effectively," Trump wrote.

He says 14 missiles were fired from Iran, 13 of which were shot down and another was directed in a "non-threatening direction."

"No Americans were hurt and almost no damage was caused," Trump wrote.

"Most importantly, they have gotten it all out of their 'system' and, hopefully, there will be no more HATE. I want to thank Iran for giving us early notice," he says.

"Perhaps Iran can now move forward towards Peace and Harmony in the Region, and I would enthusiastically encourage Israel to do the same," he says./ CNA
