A Thai naval ship capsized during a storm in the Gulf of Thailand on Sunday night, stranding more than 100 sailors.
According to Thai authorities, about 80 crew members have been rescued, but 28 sailors remain stranded after the HTMAS Sukhotai sank.
No casualties were reported, but three crew members are in critical condition.
Officials said the ship sank after water entered, flooding her hull.
The ship sank at around 11.30pm local time on Sunday.
Three naval vessels and helicopters were dispatched to assist HTMAS Sukhotai, but only one reached the vessel before it sank.
Seventy-eight of the 106 sailors aboard the Sukhotai were rescued, the navy said.
As of Monday morning, 28 of the 106 crew members are still "in the water," the statement continued./REL
