PHOTO/ How Independence Day is being celebrated in Pristina

This 17th anniversary of Kosovo's Independence found Pristina in an atmosphere of celebration and patriotism.

In the main streets and squares of the capital, numerous flags of Kosovo and Albania have been flying since this morning.

Today is a day filled with numerous activities for the people of Kosovo, which intertwine with many state activities.

The agenda of activities to mark the 17th anniversary of Kosovo's Independence includes the festive meeting of the Kosovo Government, the raising of the Kosovo flag, tributes at the Monument to the Missing and the Memorial of Murdered Children and the Monument to Heroines, and tributes at the graves of former President Ibrahim Rugova.

In Pristina alone , thousands of citizens have taken to the streets on this significant day, enjoying the Independence celebrations./CNA
