Great Britain: The use of electronic cigarettes will be banned

From next year Great Britain will ban the use of electronic cigarettes, due to their use by children and teenagers.

Health authorities point out that electronic cigarettes pose a risk to young people, because thanks to their colorful designs and fruit flavors, they become more attractive to be consumed by teenagers and not only.

According to the charity ASH's 2024 survey, around one in five children aged 11 to 17 say they have tried this cigarette.

The plan to ban e-cigarettes was first put forward by the previous Conservative government in January but was not implemented before the July election, which Labor won.

British media reported that the ban on e-cigarettes will come into effect in June.
