Ceasefire/ Trump: Iran knows what not to do

US President Donald Trump has stated that Iran knows what not to do when asked about potential ceasefire violations and how the US would respond to such situations.

Speaking to reporters, Trump said any potential violations would be made public in due course, adding: "They know what to do, or what not to do, most importantly."

He also commented on Iran's naval capabilities, claiming that the country does not have a large military fleet and that it operates only with a few "small boats", which according to him "have all disappeared".

Trump added that these assets cannot compete with the US Navy.

Regarding the maritime situation and reported blockades, he said that no Iranian ship has been able to pass through the restricted areas and that an incident occurred when a ship tried to violate the restrictions but was stopped after warnings, noting that "the engine was hit with a shot."

The statements come at a time of high tensions between Washington and Tehran, where issues of maritime security and ceasefires remain at the focus of diplomatic and military developments./ CNA
