Haxhiu signs decree/Kosovo will open a Consular Mission in Texas

Acting President Albulena Haxhiu signed a decree today to open the Consular Mission of the Republic of Kosovo in Texas.

Haxhiu writes that this is an important step for Kosovo Albanians living in Texas and the surrounding region.

"This is an important step for our compatriots in Texas and the surrounding region, but also a recognition for our diaspora in America, which for decades has worked, helped, lobbied and stood by Kosovo. In every chapter of our path, from resistance to state-building, the diaspora has played a key role ," Haxhiu said.

She adds that with this mission, Kosovo becomes closer to its citizens and more present in one of the most important economic and social centers of America. /CNA
