War with Iran strains US-Europe relations/ Rubio visits Rome and the Vatican

The United Arab Emirates has taken action to limit the number of flights following the resumption of Iranian attacks on the country on Monday. According to the decision, the UAE has announced that the restriction will last at least until May 11.
The restrictions come just two days after the United Arab Emirates lifted all precautions and said its airspace was free.
On Monday, the country said its air defenses had intercepted a large number of Iranian missiles and drones, forcing many flights to divert to Oman.
Also earlier this afternoon, the United Arab Emirates' Ministry of Defense announced that it was facing more missiles and drones.
The developments come after Iran launched attacks on the close US ally yesterday, calling into question the stability of the ceasefire. Despite this and US actions in the Strait of Hormuz, Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said earlier that Washington did not see the ceasefire as complete.
Yesterday's attack targeted a major oil facility in the United Arab Emirates and left three Indian nationals injured. /CNA
