"17 autonomous hospitals by 2027"/ Koçiu: We strengthen

The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Koçiu, from the panel for public services at the Congress of the Socialist Party, spoke about the new construction sites that will start next year in the health infrastructure.

Koçiu announced that the goal is to have 17 completely autonomous hospital structures by 2027", declared Koçiu.

"The conditions have finally been created to widely implement the successfully proven administration model at the "Memorial" Hospital in Fier, which is a first model of implementing hospital autonomy. We are ready to extend this model to QSUT, Shkodra Hospital, Durrës Hospital and Vlora Hospital. Our goal is to have 17 completely autonomous hospital structures by 2027", declared Koçiu.

The minister informed the opening of new construction sites to further improve the health infrastructure.

"20 hospitals and 340 health centers is the balance so far. Until 2025, we will add 15 hospitals and 60 more health centers to this list," Koçiu declared.

She underlined that it was the reforms undertaken in the first and second term of the government, which at the peak of the pandemic enabled the health system to function normally./ CNA
