The American ambassador to Serbia, Christopher Hill, spoke about the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, and the possibility of reaching an agreement.

Hill says that but I think the whole process means that you give something and you also get something, so according to him everyone has to make some concessions.

"Much better relations between countries are needed throughout the Western Balkans region. For Serbia, the issue of Kosovo is very difficult, I don't need to explain it to anyone in Serbia. But I think that the whole process implies that you give something, but also get something", he said in an interview for Serbian media.

According to him, the formula presented by Miroslav Lajçak is good for both countries.

"The formula presented by the EU envoy Miroslav Lajcak is a good formula. The Serbs in the north of Kosovo should have a clear perspective of what their future will look like. The union of Serbian municipalities, which is being negotiated, is a clear step in this direction. At the same time, Kosovo wants a future where it can join some international organizations, which is also part of this process. Now we are in the middle of negotiations and I don't want to give advice to anyone, except to say that everyone has to make some concessions to get something.
