Russian attack on the Ukrainian port/ Three victims are registered

Russia has carried out a major drone attack on the Ukrainian port of Izmail on the Danube, killing three people and injuring 11 others, including a child, Odesa regional governor Oleh Kiper said on Friday.

Izamil is a very important port for the export of Ukrainian grains and is located on the border with NATO member Romania.

This port has been constantly targeted by Russian attacks.

Romanian authorities in the Tulcea region on the border with Izmail issued an alert to the public, warning that the drones were very close to the border.

The Ukrainian Air Force sounded sirens to warn of missile and drone attacks in the Kherson, Mykolaiv and Sumi regions.

The war in Ukraine started on February 24, 2022.

Russian President Vladimir Putin calls the war a "special military operation" to demilitarize Ukraine.

The West has responded to Russia, hitting the economy of this country with harsh sanctions.
