Attack on a mosque in Afghanistan/ Victims and injured are reported

A serious event happened in Afghanistan this Friday.

While the prayer was being performed in a Shiite mosque, an attack occurred.

According to Reuters, from this attack there were at least 7 victims and 15 people injured.

"An explosion occurred in a Shiite mosque," the official, Maëlaëi Hashimi, told Reuters in Baghlan province where the attack took place.

Seven people were killed during prayers and 15 others were wounded in the attack in the town of Pul e Khumri in Baghlan, he said, adding that all the victims were Shiites.

Afghanistan's Taliban-led administration has faced an insurgency from Islamic State militants, who have claimed a series of deadly attacks on civilians, foreigners and Taliban security forces in recent months.
