The balance of the Israel-Hamas war/ Over 2,700 people killed, thousands injured

The fighting between Israel and Hamas continues to be fierce, thus deepening the number of victims.

More than 2,700 people have died so far, according to official Israeli and Palestinian health ministry reports.

Specifically, more than 1,300 people have been killed by Hamas attacks, while more than 1,400 people have lost their lives in Gaza due to Israel's response.

Israeli Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus stated that more than 3,000 people were also injured.

Most of the casualties confirmed by Israel were killed in a single day, when Hamas fighters crossed the border and attacked civilians. 

In response, Israel says it has dropped 6,000 bombs, weighing 4,000 tons, on Hamas targets in Gaza over six days.

Airstrikes have hit more than 3,600 targets, reducing neighborhoods to rubble.

According to the UN, Israeli bombings have destroyed eleven mosques, damaged 90 schools, destroyed hundreds of residential buildings and damaged thousands of others./ CNA
