Taxes publish the link: Verify if you need to complete the annual income

The Tax Directorate has announced that it has created an electronic service through which every citizen can verify whether they are required to complete the annual individual income declaration, known as DIVA.

Anyone can verify immediately on Tax Test, the electronic service of the Tax Administration, on the official website:

According to the announcement, Tax Test is the Tax Administration's electronic service, which aims to inform all individuals to understand whether or not they are required to file a DIVA 2025 declaration.

Simple to use, this service is organized according to a questionnaire that is answered in real time by each individual (resident or non-resident), according to their income.

Tax authorities explain to individuals that it is not necessary to set a username or password, and that the information does not contain confidential data, but is built on the basis of a few very simple questions, which provide the necessary information on whether or not the individual meets the criteria to be subject to declaration for DIVA 2025.

The Tax Administration informs that the deadline for declaring and paying DIVA 2025, according to the new law, is 31.03.2026 and that the subjects of the declaration for 2025 are those individuals who:

Have gross income of 1,200,000 lek or more from all sources, not just from salary;

Have been in more than 1 employment relationship for at least 1 month;

During 2025, they generated income of more than 50,000 lek, for which no tax was withheld (example: Rental to unregistered individuals, such as: Daily rent or from Booking, AirBnB platforms, etc.).

Taxes clarify that even if you do not have a legal obligation to declare, but meet the conditions to benefit from reimbursement for dependent children and educational expenses, you must submit DIVA 2025 to benefit from these deductions./ Monitor Magazine
