The US Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Western Balkans, Alexander Kasanof, requested the re-application of SPAK prosecutors after the end of the mandate.
Kasanof said that if prosecutors are not given the opportunity to reapply, the fight against crime is at risk.
"SPAK prosecutors should be allowed to apply again after the end of the current mandate. Failure to do so jeopardizes the fight against crime. Your work makes us safer both in Albania and around the globe", the senior US official underlined.
Kasanof made this call during his speech at the activity organized in Tirana for the 5th anniversary of SPAK./ CNA
