Alma Kodraliu, candidate for the HCJ, in the last vote, sent a message to journalist Klodiana Lala after the latter spoke about her non-selection to the HCJ.

Kodraliu, who is already a judge at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, says that the selection process for the HCJ has been transparent.

Journalist Lala has shared the message on social networks, in which she writes that she appreciates the reaction of Kodraliu, who, as every judge in this country should have, decided not to become part of a scandal that would make the Supreme Court dirty.

I am Alma Kodraliu, a judge at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana. I was one of the candidates for KLJ in the last vote and I was not the winner. I do not know where you got the information you referenced in your post. However, my position is: The process has been transparent. I appreciate the judges' decision-making. I wish good work and all the best to the very honorable colleague who won this process!

I appreciate very much the reaction of Ms. Kodraliu, who, as every judge in this country should have, decided not to become part of a scandal that would dirty the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court and the justice system. This is a first attempt, but it should be appreciated because finally the judges are reacting and taking small steps to separate themselves from politics and problematic segments within the system, where the latter are trying to occupy every seat in the judiciary. The judges know very well how they were trying to manipulate the competition, because the messages sent to them made it clear.

Good luck to the judge who won the race. I wish that Mrs. Mucaj remains in every decision-making within the staff of a professional, courageous and honest judge. / CNA
