Election of the new Archbishop/ Details revealed

The Holy Synod is expected to convene tomorrow to elect the new Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and all of Albania, who will succeed the late Archbishop Anastasios Janullatos. 

It is expected that a mass will be held first, the divine liturgy, where all believers pray that God will enlighten the members of the Holy Synod to elect the new Archbishop.

The members of the Synod will be sworn in tomorrow at the Holy Table for their responsibility to vote for the new Archbishop.

After the mass, the election process will begin and after the vote, the name of the new Archbishop will be announced, who will then enter the Resurrection Cathedral and the bells will begin to ring, not only in the Resurrection Cathedral but throughout the churches of Albania.

The faithful will be waiting at the Cathedral where the newly elected Archbishop will give his message./ CNA
