Vodafone Albania's General Director, Balazs Revesz, said in his opening remarks:
“We at Vodafone are committed to bringing the power of True 5G to all of Albania by 2030. 5G infrastructure will become the heartbeat of Albania’s economy in the future. 5G will catalyze smart cities, where energy and traffic systems self-optimize. It will revolutionize healthcare with telemedicine and diagnostics driven by Artificial Intelligence.
It will also attract foreign investment, positioning Albania as a hub for technology-driven industries. And Vodafone is proudly leading this historic transformation.”
Meanwhile, Gentian Sala, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Electronic and Postal Communications Authority – AKEP, added that Vodafone, one of the largest technology companies in the world and with 23 years of experience in Albania, has brought major changes to the local market. “Since the Blackberry of 2009, 3G, 4G+, the piloting of 5G and now 5G signal coverage. We are privileged to have a company that has given so much to this market. AKEP’s focus has been the mobile market, but we must not forget that there is also a fixed telephony market and in this 5-year term of my mandate I will do my utmost to regulate this market as well.”

On the other hand, Jonida Lakuriqi, Director of the Legal, Public Policy and External Relations Department at Vodafone Albania, emphasized that digital infrastructure and high-speed networks are at the foundation of a Gigabyte or digital society.
"It is precisely this digital society that we aim to accelerate, because it is one of the main pillars of Albania's integration into the EU," said Lakuriqi.
