The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, has reacted to the incident in Maliq, where a 55-year-old man killed his wife and then himself.

Balla has published photos with the structures of the police of Korça and thanks them for performing their duty even in conditions of threat to life.

By means of a status on social networks, he has declared that he will do everything so that the officers always feel more respected, appreciated and rewarded.

"I thank from the bottom of my heart the forces of the State Police of the Korçë Local Directorate for carrying out their duties throughout last night until this morning in Maliq, even in life-threatening conditions.

I want to assure you that I will do everything so that you feel more and more respected, more and more appreciated, and more and more rewarded for what you do for this country! I want to convey a fraternal hug to your parents, your wives, your children, your sisters and brothers, who are your greatest support, but they are also the ones who more than anyone experience the weight of your uniform, for which you are ready to put your life in danger! This is a day to remember your colleagues who are no longer alive, precisely because they gave their lives in the line of duty, and to repeat the commitment of Prime Minister Edi Rama to support their families and children until the end, not only thanks their status as Children of the Republic, but also at every step of their path,
