Kuka district was affected by snowfall and strong winds today.

During the inspection of the national roads, the presence of ice and snow is observed in parts of the segments, although the contracting companies have put salt and also removed the snow with snow removal tools.

The problematic roads where there is ice and snow are Kukës-Bushtricë-Peshkopi, Kukës-Shishtavec, Krumë-Qaf Luzhe-Bajram Curri or Kukës-Qaf Mali.

The thickness of the snow does not exceed 20 cm on the heights of these roads, but the low temperatures accompanied by strong winds and snowfall create problems in parts of these road segments.

Therefore, it is required to show caution in the use of these national axes by drivers, who must have chains and winter tires with them.

Meanwhile, in some road segments, such as the Dushaj-Lekbibaj road axis, there have been large landslides of inerts and stones, which has made it possible to temporarily block road traffic.

Electricity supply continues to have problems in districts no. 2, Kukës city and the villages of Golaj, Qarr, Letaj, Peraj and Zgeç.
