Video/ Traffic is blocked in "Skënderbej" Square, revolted

Today, the "Bread and Heart" architecture festival took place in "Skënderbej" Square. An activity for which the police have taken a plan of measures, which consists of blocking pedestrian movement in "Skënderbej" Square.

" As part of the development of the "Bread and Heart Festival" activity, today, from 09:00 to 17:00, pedestrian movement will be restricted in the "Skënderbej" Square area.

"The Tirana Local Police Directorate requests citizens' understanding regarding the temporary restrictions and invites them to follow the instructions of the Police services engaged in the smooth running of the activity ," the police announced.

 

Numerous police forces have set up checkpoints and restrictions on the roads leading to Skanderbeg Square.

The situation since morning has led citizens to engage in debate with law enforcement, demanding that they be allowed to pass through the square.

The restrictions on pedestrian movement are too great, while an alternative solution for pedestrian crossing could have been found.
