The theater at the Big Lake Park of Tirana will bear the name of the well-known actor, Mirush Kabashi.

The decision was taken at tonight's meeting at the Municipal Council of Tirana.

This decision comes as a way to perpetuate the memory and contribution of one of the most prominent figures of the Albanian scene.

We remember that Mirush Kabashi passed away a year ago at the age of 75. He is among the most appreciated artists in the history of Albanian theater and cinema. He performed over 100 roles in the theater and 30 characters in cinematography, while his play "The True Apology of Socrates" remains a historical moment for our culture.

In his career, he has been honored with over 90 awards and is the most appreciated actor outside of Albania.

Mirush Kabashi has been honored with the titles "Deserved Artist", "Great Stage Master", "Honour of the Nation" awarded by the President of the Republic of Albania and many other titles awarded by various central, local or international institutions. / CNA
