54 million lek in taxes were evaded/ Tirana Prosecutor's Office sends

The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Tirana completed the investigations and sent to court the citizen GP, ??and the subject "Benet Holding" shpk for the criminal offenses "Concealment of income" and "Non-payment of taxes and duties" provided for by articles 180 /3 and 181 of the Criminal Code.

In the framework of investigations of criminal proceedings no. 5861 of 2023, it resulted that the entity in question with the activity of "Business and other consulting" and the administrator GP, have consumed elements of the criminal offense "Non-payment of Taxes and Taxes" and "Concealment of income" for the period 2018- 2021.

The investigations showed that the company Benet Holding shpk, with the administrator citizen GP, ??by not submitting the documents or not declaring the necessary data, according to the legislation in force, as well as by submitting false documents or statements, with the aim of material gain, for himself or for others, through the incorrect calculation of the amount of the tax, were able to avoid obligations to the tax body in the total amount of 53,891,336 Lek.

The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Tirana, proved that the person under investigation GP made undeclared sales, in order to avoid paying VAT, since Benet Holding shpk did not meet the established criteria from the VAT law to sell without VAT, etc. This fact was confirmed by the Final Control Report brought by the Tirana Regional Tax Directorate./ CNA
