Veliaj does not face justice/Hides behind ridiculous lawsuits

The arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has sued the special prosecutor, Ols Dado, in the Administrative Court. The Administrative Court can summon him and he can appear, although this lawsuit constitutes legal idiocy.

The lawsuit has no legal basis and even the most novice lawyer would say that it is a matter of legal ignorance and lack of legitimacy. However, the fact is that Veliaj has filed this lawsuit in the Administrative Court.

Meanwhile, since July 2025, he has not gone to the criminal court to face the 13 serious criminal charges against him. He has been refusing lawyers, complaining about the Prisons Department van not arriving on time, and using all sorts of excuses to avoid the criminal process.

Someone who does not face criminal charges and declares that "there is no case against me," while simultaneously claiming that he is being held in prison without a court order, instead of facing justice, chooses to open an administrative process where he seeks to go and appear without any problem.

Why can he go to the session, legitimize himself and follow the process in the administrative trial that he himself opened as a "legal ignoramus", while in the criminal trial in the GJKKO he does not go to face Ols Dado, but finds tricks and excuses to not be in the session?

It has been seven months since Erion Veliaj faced charges in court and has not faced them. Meanwhile, he builds schemes and scenarios with his disgusting mind, which start with attacks on justice and end in ridiculous lawsuits./ CNA
