The Minister of Finance and Economy, Ervin Mete, at the conference for the annual analysis of the ministry, said that the economy is entering a new phase of development.

He informed that during the last year there was a decrease in inflation and unemployment, while the data show an increase in investments.

"The economy is entering a new phase of development. We already have almost year-round tourism. Foreign investments have had an upward trend with an increase of 10.6 percent compared to the same period of 2022. There has been an improvement in trade relations. Inflation has come down after a peak that was lower than the countries of the region and the European average. Unemployment has fallen to historic lows. The labor force participation rate reached historic levels. These data are encouraging for the further reduction of unemployment. The reform of salary increase in the public sector will continue. We believe that the increase in wages in the public sector will also promote the increase in wages in the private sector." , said Mete./ CAN
