Academician Artan Fuga has commented on the recent developments in the Assembly, where there have been tensions between the opposition and the majority up to physical clashes.

During an interview, the academic showed three reasons why he feels sad about the situation in which Albanian democracy is today.

Fuga emphasizes that they expect the parliament to be functional and not behind closed doors, the second is that there is a government but not an opposition, and the third is that we have an opposition that has found the solution in physical action.

" I wanted to express sadness for three main reasons. First, because we, as citizens, expect a functional parliament, which opens its doors to citizens and social groups. Meanwhile, we see roadblocks, bars, locked doors, some kind of physical body-to-body pressure. The second sadness is for this kind of situation in which the Albanian democracy is.

The fact is accepted by everyone that in Albania, there is a government but there is no opposition. A society where there is a government but there is no opposition, so there is no space for the opposition to have an influence on government control, the making of laws, so it does not bring anything as an effect of action, it is understood that it is a government where the role of the opposition is insensitive .
