The Director for Southeast Europe in the Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime, Fatjona Mejdini, has once again drawn attention to the murder of Artan Cuk, the Chief Police Commissioner killed in the line of duty in April 2017.

She informs that Cuku is listed among the main victims of organized crime from all over the world according to a publication in the organization she belongs to.

Today, Majdini met the brother of Artan Cuku and handed him some copies of a publication of the organization.

She says that for 6 and a half years, Rakipi and the Cuku family are still waiting for justice, which the Albanian state owes to its former high official.

Majdini says that the pain of family members increases every day, when they see that the courts and even more politics, have hidden their heads.

According to her, being a Martyr of this country is not worth that much!

Today I had a coffee with Rakip, the brother of Artan Cuk, the Chief Police Commissioner killed in the line of duty in April 2017. I handed Rakip some copies of a publication of the organization where I work, where the deceased, already declared "Martyr of Atdheut", is listed among the main victims of organized crime from all over the world.

Six and a half years after the murder, Rakipi and the Cuku family are still waiting for Justice, which the Albanian state owes to its former high official. Their pain increases every day, when they see that the courts and even more politicians, have hidden their heads and have not found the courage to be transparent and they learn the need to give justice.

1. Artan Cuku was thrown into the street by the State Police and left alone, at the peak of his professional career (42 years old), after he had contributed to bringing many dangerous criminals to justice.

2. The trial of the perpetrators of the murder has not yet ended in the Court of Tirana, and although scientific evidence and testimonies have identified the perpetrator, Bledar Jambelli. He escaped and has not yet been sentenced in absentia.

3. Shteti grek ka refuzuar ekstradimin e Jambellit me motivimin se ai është një Vorio-epiriot dhe anëtar aktiv i pakicës greke në Shqipëri dhe se gjykimi ndaj tij, do të ishte politik dhe me karakter hakmarrës ndaj veprimtarisë politike të tij. Asnjë funksionar i lartë shqiptar (ministër i Drejtësisë apo Kryeministër) nuk e ka përmendur publikisht dhe as ka mbajtur qëndrim ndaj këtij fakti.

4. Dëshmitë e fundit të bëra publike nga kolegë gazetarë japin indicie se drejtues të minoritetit grek në Shqipëri kanë pasur rol në mos ekstradimin e këtij krimineli në Shqipëri. Asnjë politikanë nga ata që i mbështesin politikisht këta drejtues të minoritetit grek, nuk ka kërkuar sqarim publik për këto akuza.

Mesa duket të jesh Dëshmor i këtij vendi nuk vlen dhe aq shumë!
