The forest in the area of ??Pishporo in Fier continues to be on fire. The prefect of Fier, Lefter Shehaj, says that the firefighters and the officers have been fighting the flames.

He said that sometimes they were forced to withdraw the firefighters from the action due to the danger to their lives. 

Shehaj added that the priority has been housing and currently none is at risk.

"The area is protected, we have been following this situation for 5 days. We have activated fire engines. The fire is in the crown, which has made it very difficult for us to work in the field. We have also withdrawn officers time and time again as their lives were in danger from the fire", said the prefect. 

So far, about 400 hectares of pine forest have burned in the protected area in Fier.
