The National Agency of Civil Protection announces that based on reports from IGJEO and the Military Meteorological Service (SHMU), on Sunday, January 12, intense rainfall is expected mainly in 6 counties: Vlorë, Gjirokastër, Dibër, Durrës, Tirana and Korçë.
Meanwhile, snowfall is expected in mountainous areas above 300 meters.
"Rain can be accompanied by thunderstorms and a drop in temperature, creating opportunities for frost and difficulties in transportation," the announcement of the AKMC states.
The National Agency of Civil Protection asks the local and central structures to be ready for any situation and to take measures for rain management.
Meanwhile, citizens are recommended to exercise increased caution when moving and follow official announcements.
