35 million euros of budgeted funds for agricultural support schemes have been exhausted since the first half of the year.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, the director of the Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development Eranda Selmanaj, says that the interest from farmers has been high with 62 thousand applications and 31 thousand farmers have been selected.

"There was a high interest, 62 thousand applications. Now the only problem is insufficient funds, and it must be said that this year the value of the fund was the highest ever given, 35 million euros", said Eranda Selmanaj, director of the Agricultural and Rural Development Agency.

Kërkesa më e lartë është të skema e naftës pa taksa. 26 mijë kanë përfituar nga 49 mijë që kanë aplikuar.

Agjencia ka bërë kërkesë për shtesë fondi, në mënyrë që të shpërndahet nafta e subvencionuar për të gjithë fermerët.

“Te skema e naftës pa taksa ka qenë interesi më i madh. Kemi miratuar dhënien e kartave të karburantit për 26 mijë fermerë dhe pjesa tjetër e aplikimeve nuk është miratuar sepse është ezauruar fondi. Tashmë presim përgjigje për shtesë fondi sepse kemi bërë kërkesë”, tha ajo.

Në total fermerët kanë aplikuar për 13 fusha, ku përveç sektorit të blegtorisë, agroturizmit dhe serrave këtë vit janë shtuar skemat për lëndët e para në bujqësi dhe produktet bio.

“Të gjithë ata që janë kualifikuar për të përfituar nga skemat do të njoftohen dhe do të derdhet pagesa në numrin e llogarisë që kanë lënë”, u shpreh ajo më tej.
