Forbes magazine has dedicated a special article to the large protest that is taking place in Sri Lanka due to the increase in the price of oil and the dissatisfaction of the citizens with the policies followed by the government for the management of the economic crisis in the country.

The prestigious parallels the case of Sri Lanka with the July 7 protest that took place in our country by the opposition.

Forbes compares our country's protest to that in Sri Lanka, where citizens overthrew the government, forcing the resignation of the country's prime minister and president.

Shkak i protestës në të dyja vendet ishte pikërisht inflacioni i lartë, që ka rritur tej mase koston e jetesës së qytetarëve.

“Mijëra shqiptarë marshuan në Tiranë javën e kaluar, duke kërkuar që qeveria të jepte dorëheqjen për shkak të korrupsionit dhe rritjes masive së çmimeve të konsumit. Media amerikane i referohet edhe rritjes së normës së interesit nga Banka e Shqipërisë në 1.25%, ndërsa inflacioni zyrtar për muaj qershor ishte 6.7%. E njëjta gjë si në Sri Lanka, ku inflacioni arriti në 54.6% për muajin qershor ndërsa Banka qendrore rriti normat e interesit në 15.5%”, shkruan Forbes.

Ndër të tjera revista Forbes i referohet edhe protestave në Argjentinë, Kenia, Panama, Ganë, Holandë, Belgjikë, Itali dhe Kinë, ku njerëzit nuk janë në gjendje të përballojnë çmimet e larta, koston e jetesës.
