Latest study: Young people will not flee from Kosovo even after the

More than half of Kosovo's citizens have no intention of fleeing to the EU even after visa liberalization.

A recent study by SchengenVisaInfo.com reveals that 62.3 percent of respondents, who are mostly between the ages of 25 and 34, said they are not considering moving to the EU, compared to 37.7 percent who revealed plans to them, to leave Kosovo one day.

The survey findings show that the desire to move to the EU is very strong among those who have not visited the bloc before, while all respondents who have visited the EU said they do not plan to move there anytime soon.

In detail, 50.9 percent of respondents have travel experience in the EU, while for others, it would be the first time.

Among respondents who have confirmed their move to the EU, most have a monthly income between $500 and $1,000, with 15 percent of all respondents making a lot of money in a month.

Moreover, the percentage of respondents who plan to leave Kosovo after visa liberalization and who generate less than 300 euros per month, as well as those who reach between 300 and 500 euros per month, is 18.4 percent, which shows that the lower the monthly income, the higher the number of people who want to leave.

This claim is further supported, as only 2.6 percent of all respondents earning 1,000 euros per month have plans to travel to, which is considered above the average salary in Kosovo.

The majority of respondents were women (61.4 percent), and their occupational status was mostly employed, as claimed by 88.5 percent, while 59.6 percent of respondents had a college education or higher.

Furthermore, the most common profession is IT, Technology and Communication Media, with 46.5 percent of respondents having such a profession./ Monitor Magazine
