On December 11, the High Prosecutorial Council elected Altin Dumani's successor as head of SPAK, prosecutor Klodjan Braho.

Prosecutor Klodjan Braho received 7 votes, Adnan Xholi 3 votes, Elvin Gokaj 1 vote and Doloreza Musabelliu no votes.

Today, the official handover ceremony took place, with Dumani passing the baton to Klodjan Brahos, expressing his belief that he would inherit and continue the 6-year experience of the previous SPAK prosecutors.

Braho is the third head of SPAK since the establishment of the new justice institutions. Braho's two predecessors were Altin Dumani and Arben Kraja.

Klodjan Braho was born in Skrapar on July 21, 1982. In the years 2000-2004 he completed his studies at the Faculty of Law and in 2005-2008 he studied at the School of Magistrates. He was appointed on November 14, 2007.

Previously held the following duties:

14.11.2007-2012/ Prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office of the Berat Judicial District Court.

2012-2015/ Prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office of the Vlora Judicial District Court.

2014-2015/ Deputy Head of the Prosecution Office at the Vlora Judicial District Court.

2015-19.12.2019/ Prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court for Serious Crimes in Tirana.

Investigated files

Prosecutor Klodjan Braho's name appears in some of the hottest files investigated by the Special Prosecution Office. Specifically, Braho is the prosecutor who investigated the Elbasan incinerator affair and requested arrest warrants for the people involved in this affair.

Braho was also one of the prosecutors who decided to separate the investigation into Arben Ahmetaj from the investigations into the Elbasan incinerator.

Klodjan Braho is the prosecutor of the famous "5D" file, a file in which he sent former Tirana Municipality officials accused of serious criminal offenses to trial.

Prosecutor Braho is also the prosecutor in the "Toyota Auris" case, a file which continues to be under investigation.
