The scandal at the "Oncologist"/ Klodiana Lala reveals the details:

Journalist Klodiana Lala in her show "Në Shënještër" addressed the scandal at Oncology, revealing details from the investigation file.

According to the journalist, the investigation started for the lack of commissioning of the Cobalt-Therapy apparatus, which serves for the radioactive treatment of patients with cancerous skin diseases.

Although the equipment was located in the premises of the pavilion, it had not been put into operation.

Following the investigative actions, it was found that a Cobalt Therapy Apparatus was installed in the Oncology Hospital at QSUNT for the treatment of patients diagnosed with tumor diseases and especially skin cancer diseases.

But in order to use Cobalt-Therapy, an anti-radioactive or anti-atomic bunker must be created under the conditions approved and presented by the Vienna Atomic Agency or the International Agency called IEAHEA.

But the investigations revealed that this bunker was not only not created, but the apparatus was placed outside the technical conditions.

Since 2021, when this device arrived in Albania and until today, not only has it not been used, but it has been left in inappropriate conditions, becoming a source of danger to the medical personnel themselves as a result of the possible radiation emitted by this device.

So, as we said, this apparatus was not only not placed at the service of patients who meanwhile had an urgent need for treatment, but also endangered the lives of doctors. Some of whom have subsequently been diagnosed with cancerous diseases and for whom someone must be held responsible.

Or at the same time start an investigation on the Ministry of Health, its lack of responsibility, on the health of patients and doctors.
