Today, CNA reported that the mayor Erion Veliaj has "escaped" from Albania before the protest that took place in front of the Tirana City Hall.

CNA published footage of Veliaj on the plane and reported that he had left at 04:19 this Friday morning for Istanbul.

The political leader of the DP for Tirana, Belind Kelliçi, has stated that there is a debate and a fierce fight between SPAK, Erion Veliaj and Edi Rama.

Kelliçi said during the protest that Edi Rama gave the order to block the passport of Erion Veliaj, in order not to spy on him in the European chancelleries.

"Erion Veliaj, today as we speak, at 4 o'clock in the morning, the citizens saw him on the plane leaving Albania.

Why?! Because there is a debate and a fierce fight in the last days, between SPAK, Erion Veliaj and Edi Rama.

On the one hand, it is Edi Rama who gave the order to block the passport of Erion Veliaj, in order not to spy on Erion Veliaj, Edi Rama, in the European chancelleries.

On the other hand, it is Arben Ahmetaj who today invites him to Switzerland to go and become a "pentito" and speak the same as Arben Ahmetaj.
