After the scandal of the doctor Dervish Hasi, who for two years had abused a minor girl and filmed sexual acts with her and his three wives, the former mufti of Tirana Ylli Gurra reacted.

During an interview on the GoodMorning Albanians show in Euronea Albania, Gurra said that this is neither the first nor the last case.

The former mufti appealed to the State Police as there are several groups operating in Albania and Kosovo that are open to polygamous marriages.

He called them a pseudo-Islamic group and this is a painful and frightening reality.

In addition, he said that there are hoxhallars in Albania who celebrate polygamous marriages in mosques.

 "This is not the first case, and I'm afraid it won't be the last case. I would like to make an appeal to the State Police and especially the services, a few months ago we made a call to some groups that are currently operating in Albania and Kosovo that are very open in the reports of polygamous marriages.

Unfortunately, they are derivative, they are pseudo-Islam, it is a painful and scary reality. They also operated in Italy", said the former mufti./ CNA
