According to the data from the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies, 14 fires have been reported in the last 24 hours, of which 11 have been extinguished and 3 fires are active.

The Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi, says that today he is continuing in the municipality of Delvina, where the fire is active above the Monastery and the village of Kakodhiq, on Malin e Gjere in Gjirokastër, as well as near the lakes of Lura in Dibër. 

"In the municipality of Gjirokastër, the Armed Forces and local emergency personnel have started working since the early hours of the morning to extinguish the fires on Malin e Gjerë, where the flames have an extension of 10-12 km and are scattered in 3 hearths. They are also working to extinguish the fire that broke out yesterday, near the lakes of Lura, in the village of Gurë - Lura, where the intervention is difficult due to the very rocky terrain Armed Forces, municipal forces, police forces, employees of the Administration of Protected Areas, forest service and volunteer forces who have been fighting the flames for several days," he said./CNA
