The court of Lezha sentenced contract killer Dorjan Keqi to life imprisonment, after he was accused of being an accomplice in the murder of the former director of High Voltage for the North, Saimir Jaku. This event happened in September 2016 in Rrëshen.
The court found the 42-year-old guilty of the criminal offenses "Murder in other qualifying circumstances" committed in cooperation and "Arms without a permit".
But Dorjan Keqi has consistently denied having anything to do with crime, refusing to become an associate of justice in exchange for a lighter sentence.
The 40-year-old was discovered after 6 years, after he had left traces at the place where the vehicle used in this event was burned.
The serious crime took place in a bar in the town of Rreshen. Saimir Jaku was shot with a barrage of bullets while he was drinking coffee with another person, who was injured in this incident. /CNA
