The situation with the fires/ 7 active foci in the country

According to data from the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies, in the last 24 hours, 23 fires have been reported in the country, of which 16 have been extinguished and 7 are still active.

336 operational forces and 27 vehicles were engaged in firefighting operations. In support of the forces on the ground, 119 military troops with 3 firefighting vehicles and the "Cougar" helicopter of the FA were activated.

The fire was neutralized in several villages in the municipalities: Durrës, Kavajë Lushnjë, Fier, Berat, Vlorë, Himarë, Delvinë, Selenica, Has and Malësi e Madhe.

Currently working on:

Kukës District: in Surroj village, Surroj administrative unit, Kukës Municipality. The fire has been active for days in a forest area. On the ground, 17 forces from the local structures of the municipality and 17 officers from the Armed Forces were engaged, who have completely brought the fire under control. Currently ADZM employees are monitoring it until the final extinction; in Tetaj village, Lekbibaj administrative unit, Tropoja Municipality, the fire was contained by the forces of local structures of Tropoja Municipality. Currently the situation is under monitoring.

Shkodra region: in the village of Mnelë e Vogël, Vig-Mnelë administrative unit, Vau-Dejës Municipality, the fire station has been reactivated. The fire has reached large proportions in a forest area. At the scene, 4 vehicles with 30 forces from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Municipality of Vau-Dejës, Pukë, Malësi e Madhe, 2 fire engines, 50 volunteer forces, 5 municipal police forces and 24 forces from the forest service were engaged.

Lezha District: in Lajthizë village, Orosh administrative unit, Mirditë Municipality, there was a fire in a mountainous area with pines and inaccessible to firefighting vehicles. The fire came from the extension of the hearth from the village of Arrën, the Kukës Municipality is descending on the side of the village of Shëngjin, the Fan administrative unit with low intensity, in a rocky area without vegetation. The intervention was impossible due to the terrain; on Mount Krestë near the village of Krajnë, Blinisht administrative unit, Lezhë Municipality, the fire coming from the Vig - Mnelë area is approaching. Local structures have taken measures to prevent situations in residential areas; in Kallmet village, Kallmet administrative unit, Lezhë Municipality, around 21:10 on the 27th, a fire broke out in a difficult terrain near the church of Saint Euphemia. The forces from Lezhë Municipality went to the field, but they did not manage to bring the fire under control. In the early hours of today's morning, the wind changed direction and the fire, which has reached large proportions, seriously threatens to burn down the houses. With the forces and resources available on the ground, the situation is untenable and emergency fire support and air intervention was requested. Since the early hours of the morning, 50 FA officers with 3 fire engines and Faj's "Cougar" helicopter were working to help the authorities.

Dibra County: in Pejkë village, Melan administrative unit, Dibër Municipality. Hearth of fire developed on the surface with oaks and hazel, but which has an extension of the territory helped by the wind and high temperatures.
