Fire situation nationwide/ Ministry: 22 fires, 2 of them active

As of 20:00, a total of 22 fires have been reported nationwide, of which 20 have been completely extinguished, thanks to the engagement of our operational structures on the ground. Currently, only 2 fires remain active: in the village of Hoshtima, Vlora municipality, and in the Ballenja forest, Bulqiza municipality.

At the National Civil Emergency Operations Center at AKMC, 22 fires have been reported as of 8:00 p.m.

After continuous work by operational forces on the ground, it was possible to completely isolate and extinguish the fires in:

- Zvërnec village, Qendër administrative unit, Vlora municipality.

- Pavarësia neighborhood, administrative unit Region No. 5, Vlora municipality.

- Arshi Lengo village, Antigone administrative unit, Gjirokastër municipality.

- Village of Kosina, administrative unit of Piskovo, municipality of Gjirokastër. Village of Kolsh, administrative unit of Kolsh, municipality of Lezha.

- Markatomaj village, Zejmen administrative unit, Lezha municipality.

- Hoten village, Bushat administrative unit, Vau Dejes municipality.

- The village of Gojan, the administrative unit of Gjegjan, the municipality of Puka.

- Frakull village, Frakull administrative unit, Fier municipality.

- Lin village, Udenisht administrative unit, Pogradec municipality.

Currently, outbreaks are active in:

- Hoshtimë village, Qendër administrative unit, Vlorë municipality, where a fire broke out in an area with thorny herbs and olive trees. The mountainous terrain, wind and high temperatures made it difficult to control the fire and the local service of the Vlorë MZSH with 4 firefighting vehicles and 14 personnel, the MZSH Fier, Berat and Himarë with 1 firefighting vehicle each with 3 personnel, 2 vehicles of the Armed Forces and 14 personnel, 1 vehicle from the Himarë water supply and numerous volunteer forces are at the scene, who are working to extinguish the fire. The Cougar Helicopter of the Armed Forces came to help.

- In the Ballenjë forest, Marranesh administrative unit, Bulqizë municipality, a fire has broken out in an area of ??pine trees. The local Fire Department Service of the Bulqizë municipality is at the scene with 2 fire trucks and 10 firefighters, who are working to bring the fire under control. The cause of the fire is unknown.

In the firefighting operations, 55 firefighting vehicles, 196 operational forces, 2 firefighting vehicles and 14 personnel and 1 helicopter from the Armed Forces have been engaged so far./CNA
