What is actually happening with the "Thoma Turtulli" library in Korça?

The truth is that an investment is being made there and everything looks pretty good.

CNA received official information from the Municipality of Korça. Sources from this institution told CNA that it is a fund of 250 million old lek, which will be a complete investment for the reconstruction of this building. An investment, which is not simply and only an adjustment of the facade or roof, but complete. It will turn that children's library into an almost new building, which will also have technological spaces, a children's library, open places for reading, etc.

The reconstruction includes the facades, roof, doors, windows and everything else.

Those doors, which are shown in this photo that we also took above and are republishing below, have been removed to be taken for reconstruction. So, the doors will not be removed and will be thrown away and a duralumin door with a glass will be kept. A construction site is being built there.

Official sources from the Municipality of Korça emphasized that the doors have been removed along with the windows and will be taken for full restoration and will be returned to their original condition.

Now we need a temporary door and there we will have a construction site. The same sources emphasized that this is a very important investment for the children and for the city of Korça and in the end we will have a new, reconstructed children's library, which will preserve one hundred percent of its architectural identity and everything else including doors and windows, or other objects that have been part of this building for decades will be restored after it is reconstructed due to the damage they have sustained over time.

So, finally we will have a new library for children in Korçë . What is being said on social media about some doors being removed is simply and only half true, as the doors were removed to be taken away for reconstruction, not to install duralumin doors or to change the facade or structure of the building.
