The Head of Service and the head nurse at the Tepelena hospital have been criminally prosecuted.

They are accused of having sold the medicines of the Tepelena hospital, to the private pharmacy of a 42-year-old woman, in order to embezzle the payments.

The materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in free status for the citizens:

- K. Gj., 44 years old, resident in Tepelena, with the position of Head of Service, in the Hospital Service Directorate, Tepelena;

-NZ, 61 years old, resident in Tepelena, with the duty of head nurse, in the Emergency Department of the Hospital Service, Tepelena;

-J. Gj., 42 years old, resident in Tirana, pharmacist by profession, owner of the private entity where medicines were sold with the seal of the Tepelena hospital.

During the checks in the hospital of Tepelena and in the pharmacy of the citizen J. Gj., medical cards and records were found and seized as material evidence, which are suspected to have been filled with fictitious data, in order to sell medicines for personal gain.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Gjirokastër, for further actions, for the criminal offenses "Abuse of duty", "Theft committed by abuse of duty", "Forgery of documents" and "Concealment of income"./ CNA
