Kujtim Cakrani, the lawyer of former president Ilir Meta, has shared some details from his testimony at SPAK.

Meta was summoned this Thursday regarding the "January 21" issue, in his capacity as a person who had knowledge of the circumstances.

"I, Ilir Rexhep Metaj, since I have knowledge and can provide valid evidence about the circumstances of that event, evidence that is not known by the proceeding body and that may serve to clarify the event, I am at the disposal of the proceeding body at any moment that it is ready!", - it is stated, among other things, in the letter that Meta had sent to SPAK.

In his testimony, as reported by Cakrani, Meta confessed to investigators that in the days before the January 21 demonstration, he was informed by foreign services in the country, in confidential channels, that the protest would be violent, that there would be clashes and that the scenario of murders was not excluded. /CNA
