The Minister of Finance, Ervin Mete, after the government meeting where the draft budget of 2024 was approved, declared that the budget for local government units has increased significantly.

In 2024, expenses are expected to be 71 billion ALL, or 10.4% more than the 2023 budget, while the central government grant for local units will be up to 36.5 billion ALL.
