The Tax Administration announces that during May 2025, an increase in unpaid tax liabilities was recorded in the amount of 4.7 billion lek.
In order to inform taxpayers and avoid unnecessary coercive measures, the Tax Administration calls on taxpayers to pay their tax obligations within the legal deadlines!
Failure to pay tax obligations on time, according to Law No. 9920/2008 "On Tax Procedures in the Republic of Albania", as amended, charges you not only with fines and late payment interest, but also with coercive measures, which make it difficult to develop your economic activity.
Also, the Tax Administration informs that until the law on tax debt forgiveness enters into force, as part of the fiscal peace package, taxpayers are obliged to repay tax liabilities to avoid austerity measures. /CNA
