Shkodra's "Road" punishes "rebellious" drivers/

The Shkodra Traffic Police has made a balance of work for a month. "Rrugorja" reports that 6 drivers have been arrested and 12 others have been criminally prosecuted, for the criminal offenses of "Irregular driving" and "Violation of road traffic rules", and a total of 4997 administrative measures have been imposed for various violations of the Traffic Code, specifically:

 307 measures for not wearing a seat belt;

 182 measures for not wearing a protective helmet;

 58 measures for using a mobile phone while driving;

 55 measures for driving under the influence of alcohol;

 45 measures for tinted windows;

 509 measures for wrong overtaking;

 1857 measures for stopping or wrongful standing;

 228 measures for not giving priority to pedestrians;

 1756 measures for other violations of the Road Code.

Checks by the Traffic Police will continue on all urban, interurban and rural road axes, using all modern logistical means, with the aim of meeting road safety parameters.

The Shkodra Traffic Police appeals to all drivers to strictly enforce traffic rules, not to overtake incorrectly, not to use a cell phone while driving, and not to drive under the influence of alcohol or while intoxicated./ CNA
